In Berlin, Lex Barker stood in front of the cameras for the indoor scenes of the Karl May movies in Artur Brauner's CCC studio, among others. During that time, Barker resided at the Berlin Hilton (today Berlin InterContinental). That's also where his son, Alexander (called Zan), began his training in the hotel business.
During October, 2010, the film documentary about Lex Barker's life continued with Zan Barker's visit to Berlin.
The film team of KAMA MEDIA interviewed Zan in Artur Brauner's movie hotel. The special atmosphere of the venue with its many images from the motion picture history woke Zan's memories of the time he spent with his father in Hollywood and Europe.
At the conclusion of the extensive conversation everyone involved agreed: Lex Barker's work for the Berlin movie producers, and beyond, remains unforgettable.
We thank the team from KAMA MEDIA once again for the conversion of the dialogue. The details for the next filming sessions are already in preparation.
